Management & Organizational Consulting

HR@AHSC provides consulting services for administrators, managers and supervisors on issues such as:

  • Workplace culture, communication and organizational design
  • Facilitation of strategic planning meetings and process improvement activities
  • Policy interpretation and use to achieve organizational goals
  • Performance management and disciplinary actions
  • Work group interactions and conflict management strategies
  • Strategic planning and development of best practices in organizational management
  • On-Boarding and department orientation program design.

We also assist departments with recruitment and employment related activities including advertising positions to increase the diversity and quality of the applicant pool, posting open positions, search committee training, and the interpretation and application of policies, rules and guidelines relating to recruitment and employment.

Performance planning/management, on-boarding and department orientation program design, and recognition program coaching is available to help you achieve even greater results.

Employee Advising

HR@AHSC provides assistance to employees with issues, questions or problems relating to their employment at AHSC: managing work-place interactions, responding to management-initiated change or new expectations, informal complaints and formal grievances, conflict resolution strategies, and career-change counseling.

Business Support

HR Liaisons Program: HR Liaisons are the primary contacts between HR@AHSC and a department or center of the College of Medicine of the Arizona Health Sciences Center. The intention is to provide faculty and staff, managers, supervisors, administrators and employees with the support of a liaison they can call upon as a starting point for assistance with or accurate information about any HR service or issue. The liaison will foster two-way communication between the department or center and HR@AHSC, and understands the HR needs of faculty, staff and administrators of his or her department.
